‘Walking Dead’ To End After Season 11 – Spinoff Set For 2023

‘The Walking Dead’ has almost reached its end now. The post-apocalypse zombie world series that’s based on the comics by Robert Kirkman will end in 2022. The hit show ran successfully for 11 seasons. This comes as a sad news for many as never to forget, ‘The Walking Dead’ had once been the highest-rated show on television.

However, the news is accompanied with a great news as well. Fans-favorite Norman Reedus, who played the role of Daryl and Melissa McBride, who played Carol, will be seen in the series’ new spinoff. ‘The Walking Dead’ showmaker Angela Kang and content chief, Scott M. Gimple, are on board with the new spinoff.

The spinoff is untitled as of yet and will debut sometime in 2023. ‘The Walking Dead’ season 10 finale was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic. However, the wait is over now and it is announced that the season finale will finally release on October 4, 2020.

Moreover, the season finale will be accompanied by 10 new additional episodes. These episodes will air in 2021. Like the method used for the end of ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘The Walking Dead’ season 11 will have same fate. The final season will have a total of 24 episodes spread across a total of two years.
