Thomas Rhett, the renowned country singer, opened up about his marriage with Lauren Akins recently. The couple has been married for the past seven years and the singer got candid about the hardships they had to go through. No marriage is easy and we get it but, the trick is to always work it through. That’s what Rett did by seeking marriage counseling.
During his interview with ‘The Bobby Bones Show’, Thomas talked about his memoir, ‘Live in Love’. He says that there are parts in there that he wishes didn’t portray him as jerk. He explains that most of it happened when Lauren was in Uganda, seven months pregnant with Ada James, 3. She was handling the adoption process of Willa Gray, 4.
During all this time, Rhett was touring in the U.S. for his work. That’s when Akins said that they are living two different worlds and Rhett realized that his wife is feeling all alone and left out. The experience was hard for them both and they decided to seek therapy.

Rhett says that coming out of that phase, he realizes that a marriage needs a lot of partnership. Couples have to be honest about their feelings and thoughts and communicate with transparency. He hopes that his memoir and love life give inspiration to people to love their partners correctly.
