Taylor Swift and Barbra Streisand are the only two women in the history of Billboard 200 to stay at No.1 for multiple weeks. There are a total of 11 artists who have made it to this list since 1956 (inception of Billboard). Taylor Swift is currently on the list for her album Folklore that is truly breaking all the records.
The competition is extremely difficult nowadays. Even though many artists over the years have made it to the top of the list, they’re not remaining for more than a week. Kenny Chesney and Future, both made it to the No.1 spot but, couldn’t stay for more than a week.
Among the 11 artists that have successfully created history at Billboard 200 chart are The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Jay Z. The Rolling Stone, Garth Brooks, Eminem, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, and Led Zeppelin also make it to the list.
Barbra’s six albums have stayed on top at the Billboard chart for multiple weeks. Her longest-running album to secure top position are ‘A Star Is Born’ and ‘People’. Taylor Swift‘s longest-running album that stayed on top is ‘Fearless’, followed by ‘Red’ and ‘Speak Now’.
