We all know that Robert Pattinson is soon going to be our black vigilante, the caped crusader, the dark knight that Gotham needs. Well, keeping the theatrics aside, Robert Pattinson is going to be our new Batman in Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’. But, there’s a sneaky story behind Robert’s audition for the role.
As it so happened, Robert was already shooting for Christopher Nolan’s ‘Tenet’ when he had to audition for ‘The Batman’. Robert did not want to announce that he’s attempting for the role so, he decided to lie. And, let’s just say, that’s not the wisest decision Robert Pattinson has ever taken. While recalling the event, Robert said that he cited a ‘family emergency’ in order to leave Tenet’s set.
As it turns out, Christopher was a step ahead of Pattinson. He immediately caught Pattinson’s lie and straight away said that there’s no emergency and he’s going for the audition of The Batman! Pattinson says it was funny because Christopher is always secretive about everything he does. And, when Robert also had to be secretive about his audition, he was caught immediately.
Nolan Christopher is known for bringing his touch in the Batman storyline in ‘Dark Knight Trilogy’. Christopher is currently working on ‘Tenet’, a science-fiction movie that’ll release on August 26. Robert credits his role in ‘Tenet’ for keeping him fit for the character of Batman.
