The particular move is expected to give something to the beat critics to ponder upon. It is no secret that Nas has been criticized time and again for his offbeat selection. DJ Vlad even said that he is one of the worst beat pickers of all time. The remark garnered a lot of controversies and even a creative comeback from the rapper.

In one of his songs from NASIR, Nas rapped saying that he has never sold a song for the beat. He retorted saying that his music is sold because of his verses and words and he is more than what meets the surface. NASIR captured the No. 5 position on Billboard even after all criticism. The release date for Nas’ collaboration is yet to be announced.
