Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have singed a multi-year deal with Netflix by launching their own production company. The company is based at the online streaming platform and back up scripted series, docuseries, documentaries, kids’ shows, and feature programming. There are plenty of series under the project already including women oriented and nature-based animated docuseries.
While the deal concerns showbiz, people are curious of whether or not they’ll see Meghan returning on-screen anytime soon. However, the Duchess of Sussex has no plans of returning to acting and her last acting credit remains ‘Suits’. The U.S.A. Network series, ‘Suits’, wrapped up its final season in 2019.
Harry and Meghan were in talks with different media giant to close their $150 million deal. Their prime focus is to cast and hire different faces and voices from different cultures and diversities. They want their production company to support talents that belong to not just one community but all.
Their production company comes sometime after the couple stepped down from their royal duties. They had stated that they are going to financially independent and the project marks a major move towards it. Meghan and Harry also relocated to California sometime before the quarantine. They stayed at L.A. for some months before buying their million dollar mansion in California.
