Kobe Bryant married the love of his life, Vanessa Laine, in 2001 just after a year of dating. The couple, in their 19 years of marriage, had four wonderful kids. Kobe Bryant’s kids are amazing, talented, and pride of their parents. The four gems are named Natalia Diamante, Gianna Maria-Onore, Bianka Bella, and Capri Kobe.
Kobe Bryant was an American basketball player. He began his career by entering National Basketball Academy (NBA) right after high school and over the years, he became one of the best basketball players of all time. In January 2020, Gianna Maria-Onore tragically died along with her father in the helicopter crash. As heartbreaking as that is, let us find out more about her and other Kobe Bryant’s kids.
Kobe Bryant’s Kids – Who Are They?
Natalia Diamante is the first of Kobe Bryant’s kids and was born on January 19, 2003, just after 2 years of the couple’s marriage. Natalia is nicknamed Nani and her father also lovingly called her ‘Principessa’. Natalia is the most sorted and calmest one of Kobe Bryant’s kids. Though her mother Vanessa, surely knows how to bring the child in her alive.
Vanessa updated a picture where Natalia drove her to In-N-Out Burger after she got her driver’s license. Vanessa held a pack of French fries and mentioned how Natalia has forbidden her from eating in her car. But the playful mother also recalled how her daughter had stained her car a decade ago with a red ‘sports drink’ and decided that it’s payback time. Kobe Bryant was proud of her volleyball skills and had also updated a picture of her eldest daughter on her 17th birthday. He wrote a heart-melting caption and we truly can’t stop wondering what a great father he was.
Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant
Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant or Gigi was the second of Vanessa and Kobe Bryant’s kids. She was born on May 1, 2006, and was like a savior for Kobe and Vanessa’s sinking marriage. Kobe and Vanessa were going through a very rough time before Gigi’s birth.
Kobe was arrested on the grounds of sexual assault. He pleaded innocent and claimed that the act was consensual. Nevertheless, his infidelity took a toll on the married couple’s life. Although Vanessa stood by her husband during the entire controversy, she was still impacted brutally by it. The confirmation was the unfortunate miscarriage she suffered in 2005. Kobe issued another apology stating that he was to be held responsible for such a stressful time that caused this loss. But, in 2006, a ray of sunshine entered the couple’s life in the form of Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant.
Gigi was a force to be reckoned with according to his father. She was like a tornado and compared to her elder sister Natalia, the duo’s relationship was like that of Elsa and Anna from Frozen. Gigi was passionate about basketball and was called Mambacita – in reference to her legendary father’s nickname – Black Mamba. Whenever someone mentioned to Kobe that he should have a son to carry forward his legacy, Gigi would interrupt. She would say that his father does not need any son to keep his legacy alive as she would do that for him.
Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant died a tragic death along with her father in the helicopter crash. She and her father were among the nine people who died in the crash on January 26, 2020. They were reportedly going for basketball practice. Kobe Bryant’s kid’s jersey No.2 was retired by her school in a thoughtful ceremony. Gigi’s mother updated a heart-touching post that expressed how blessed she feels to have had Gigi in her life for 13 years and wish she had been there till her last breath.
Bianka Bella is the third of Kobe Bryant’s kids. She was born on December 5, 2016, the same year in which Kobe retired. Bianka is nicknamed BB and is merely 4. She was loved immensely by her late father and he updated a picture on her third birthday where the little angel was being carried by Kobe on his shoulder.
Capri Kobe Bryant
Capri is the fourth of Kobe Bryant’s kids. Capri is nicknamed Koko and was born on June 20, 2019. Kobe updated a picture after her birth and introduced her to the world as Capri Kobe Bryant ‘Koko’.
Kobe Bryant had also authored a book called Mamba Mentality. Kobe Bryant’s net worth is around $500 million. We truly wish that Kobe could have had more time with his daughters and pray for peace for the late player’s and Gigi’s souls.
