Victoria Beckham and David Beckham’s son, Brooklyn Beckham, surprised the internet by announcing that he is soon going to tie knots with his girlfriend, Nicola Peltz. The 21-year-old model and photographer was born on March 4, 1999, and announced in July 2020 that his girlfriend has finally agreed to marry him.
The date is not yet announced but it will be sometime in 2021. We believe the delay is due to the ongoing pandemic. If not for the outbreak of coronavirus, we like to assume that the wedding would have taken place a little earlier. Here are all the details you need about the wedding.
David Beckham’ Son Jewish background
Both Brooklyn and Nicola share a common factor – they are both part Jewish. Nicola’s father, Nelson, is Jewish and devout. She was raised in a Jewish household and holds the Jewish traditional values seriously. David Beckham’s son, just like his father, recognizes himself as part Jewish. David’s father was Jewish.
David has a tattoo on him that says ‘I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine’. It is a saying from the Jewish Old Testament and even Davis Beckham’s son, Brooklyn has the same line tattooed on him.
When the couple discussed their future, they realized that they bonded because of the fact they both are part Jewish in the first place and so, it will only make sense for them to have a Jewish wedding as well.
As per reports, the wedding is not going to be very orthodox but some traditional elements of the Jewish wedding will be incorporated. They will be marrying under a chuppah and there will also be a wedding canopy.
We don’t know about bands but there will be singing of ketubah for sure. The couple will be signing a marriage contract and not to forget the iconic breaking of an old wine glass will also take place! However, the couple will not have just one wedding. They will be having ceremonies in the US as well as in the UK. So, we assume there would be one Jewish style ceremony and one traditional English style.
Officially Announced on Instagram
While some celebrities are shy to admit their relationship openly (and we get it), David Beckham’s son, Brooklyn Beckham, is not one of them. Accordingly, Brooklyn and Nicola started dating somewhere during the end of 2019 and Brooklyn made it official on Instagram around January 2020. He started updating pictures of and with Nicola Peltz with romantic captions.
On January 2, David Beckham’s son uploaded a picture of Nicola hiding her face and captioned it with just a black heart. On January 9, he updated another cozy picture of them together and wished Nicola a very happy birthday. The black and white picture was extremely romantic with the couple embracing each other in front of a washroom mirror.
A few days before his birthday, David Beckham’s son, like a true gentleman updated a sweet picture with Nicola and promised to always take care of her. On March 9, Brooklyn updated a birthday series were of 10 pictures featuring some of the best moments of the celebration and you know what? Nicola was present in more than half of them.
Not only that, but a picture also featured her dancing with Victoria Beckham and they looked extremely comfortable together. On April 1, David Beckham’s son posted a picture kissing Nicola and captioned it calling her his ‘other half’. Finally, after a few more mushy pictures and romantic lines, Brooklyn updated a picture on July 11, announcing that he asked his soulmate to marry him and she said yes!
Who All Approves?
David Beckham’s son is just 21 years old and hence it is obvious that many people would assume that he is too young to get married. Well, you are not completely wrong to think that. David believes that his son is rushing into the decision and he should take some time.
Victoria Beckham, on the other hand, finds Nicola Pletz a perfect match for his son and couldn’t be happier for him. Brooklyn’s ex, Lexy Panterra, also commented on the same matter expressing that she feels it’s way too early for Brooklyn to get married. David Beckham has three sons and daughter with Victoria Beckham – Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James, Cruz David, and Harper Seven.
