Dame Diana Rigg – ‘Game of Thrones’ Actress Dies At 82

Dame Diana Rigg dies of cancer at the age of 82. She has starred in ‘The Avengers’ and a Bond movie along with other projects. Most recently, the stunning actress was known for her role as Olenna Tyrell in ‘Game of Thrones’. The younger fans would remember her as the one who killed King Joffrey.

Rigg’s daughter, Rachel Stirling, announced that her mother died of cancer after she was diagnosed with the same in March. She spent the last days of her life happily and content with all the memories she had made and the legacy she had created. She held pride in her work and everything she did for her fans.

Rigg was the only actress to ever become a Mrs. Bond. She married 007 in ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ in 1969 played by George Lazenby. The actor said that he is extremely sad at the brilliant actress’ demise and even the Bond franchise paid their tribute.

James Bond official page on Twitter wrote that they are extremely sad with the demise of the legendary stage and screen actress. The official page of ‘Game of Thrones’ also paid their tribute by calling Rigg an unforgettable dragon. We pray for peace of the kind soul of Dame Diana Rigg and wish strength to her family.
